The Answer
Waiting for an answer,
The time has passed away and it has gone by so slowly.
Every second seems like an hour,
When there is a weight on your chest.
The importance of knowing,
Curiosity mixed together with anticipation,
Only makes me want it more and more.
But the answer never comes,
And as they say better late than never,
But this is past late it`s long overdue!
And I`m beginning to wonder if I will ever know the answer.
The future is so unclear,
Like a deep fog over a lake in the morning,
With the steam surrounding it like a shadow.
But you can still see the bleakest sign of water,
As the sun slowly rises to lift up the day.
I`m not asking for the world.
I`m just asking for the smallest sign,
That would make me know for sure,
That the things I once knew,
Are on their way back to normal.
My fuse is about to break,
But my self-control won`t let me shatter.
And I won`t turn my head only to have that answer,
I`ve waited for pass me like the wind.
